Our Expertise

PARKWOOD PARTNERS™’ Wealth Management Practice team, together with its affiliated advisors, is capable of providing practical investment advice to non-SDN listed individuals, non-public businesses as well as banks and other financial institutions. We guide clients through the mine fields of investment issues which can affect their wealth, create family offices which receive advice from advisors, and create a complex and secure electronic system for the relevant information gathered on their behalf.

Our advice depends on the nature of the wealth management services required by the client.  Business owners are mostly interested in the profitable building of their business, without destruction of its intrinsic value.  They also require advice on the strategies for increasing their compensation, as well as in the inheritance matters.  We address all issues with a great deal of sensitivity to privacy, and add our business experience and tailored advice in order to meet the client’s requirements.

For high-net-worth individuals and families, our Wealth Management Practice professionals emphasize estate planning, including gift tax planning strategies. The Practice’s work includes the preparation of complex wills, life insurance trusts, foreign trusts, charitable trusts, foundations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and other estate planning devices.

PARKWOOD represents corporate and individual fiduciaries in all aspects of the administration of estates and trusts, including probate and estate and trust litigation.

Where appropriate, the Wealth Management Practice works closely with independent advisory firms’ corporate and/or tax groups, in tax planning for corporations and individuals, and in business planning projects, including corporations, limited liability companies and family limited partnerships, as well as the preparation of agreements for the acquisitions and disposition of businesses, and partnership and shareholder agreements.

Our Wealth Management Practice has advised banks, and other financial institutions, which appreciate the firm’s substantial expertise of professionals who combine the experience of local banking with the required resources. Furthermore, there is a need for the most exacting knowledge of capital markets and financial services in each respective region.  In particular, financial institutions have relied on PARKWOOD professionals’ experience in navigating the procedurally laden waters of obtaining relevant approvals, licenses and other requisite material from local authorities they may be unfamiliar with.
