Construction and Infrastructure Development

Our Expertise

PARKWOOD’s Construction and Infrastructure Practice involves virtually all phases of the construction process.  PARKWOOD professionals advise their clients on various aspects of a project, from the negotiation of contracts and the preparation of bids, to the resolution of construction disputes.

We assist in project administration, job close-outs and settlement, and privatization matters throughout Europe, the U.S. and South-East Asia.  We provide a full range of services with respect to government contracts, including bid protests.

Our construction professionals deal with claims for construction defects, extra work, delay and disruption, acceleration, lost labor and equipment productivity. We understand how to calculate extended project costs so that we can assist our clients in recovering expenditures lost on a delayed project.

Our professionals address design defects, cardinal changes, commercial impracticability, differing site conditions, access problems, over-zealous inspectors, structural failures, rejection of nonconforming work, terminations, payment and performance bonds, performance guarantees, liquidated damages, and warranties.

PARKWOOD professionals offer a complete palate of services to address other diverse challenges that confront the construction industry including, through our affiliates, project taxation and finance, environmental regulations, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, real estate transactions, and governmental agency relations.

Our practice includes advice regarding the development, privatization, project financing and acquisition of a variety of infrastructure facilities.  Combining the transactional experience and the regional knowledge of local affiliated professionals with PARKWOOD’s international resources, we offer additional services in such practice groups as international trade, corporate and securities, and privatizations.
