Generative Pre-trained Transformer, or GPT, started in 2015 with GPT-1 based on some 117 million parameters, now in version 4 which uses trillions of parameters, is an advanced form of artificial intelligence created by OpenAI, a research company started by Elon Musk and others.
OpenAI had 2022 revenues of $10 million, which are now projected to reach $1 billion by next year. GPT groups language models capable of learning various techniques generative of human-like language.
